The Da Vinci Code - The Silent Alarm

by - Andrew Rutajit

Just a word of warning...This is a spoiler to those who have not yet read the book or seen the movie, "The Da Vinci Code".

It seems as though every time Jan and I mention the contents of our book or video (both of which address the Holy Grail, what we suggest it is, and where it can be found), it never fails someone will ask if we have read or seen the Da Vinci Code. Well, I did finally read it. MANY people are flocking to this story because they are looking for truth (and they will surely find hints of truth in this story). William Henry is paralleling these theories with some of his own added to the mix...He and I were in California eating dinner one evening when I asked him point blank - Most of your audience seems to be much older than I had expected, why is that? - His answer has fascinated me for a long time. To paraphrase what he said - These people have known most of their lives that something in missing. Now, as they grow older (knowing that death is nearing), they want to know what is real and what is BS.

But back to the Da Vinci Code; in this book, there are 4 men who are the keepers of the secrets of the Holy Grail. A monk has been commissioned to obtain their knowledge and find the Holy Grail. Just before the monk kills these 4 men, all 4 tell him where the Keystone is - the Keystone is an object that will lead him to the Holy Grail. They all told the same exact story as to the location for this monk to begin looking, but when he went to that location and began snooping around, it was a dead end, the monk ended up finding only a bible verse –

Job 38:11
Hitherto thou shalt come, but no further.

The mere fact that someone was looking in this particular spot was to set into motion a silent alarm to warn the others...unfortunately for them, the others in this story were already dead.

Could this be what is happening with the Da Vinci Code, Holy Blood Holy Grail, GenIsis, and all the other theories for a bloodline of Jesus? Some suggest that this Merovingian bloodline of a historical Jesus can even be traced all the way back to Enki and Enlil.

However, the popularizing of this story of a bloodline of Jesus IS the warning call...and a safe one at that. With this story in place, the masses who question the existence of a historical Jesus will still have something to wrap their brains around...many will explain how Jesus escaped death on the cross with poison, and that he never really died. But notice - the belief of a historical Jesus is still present. This may serve as a sign to the Church that times are indeed changing and the real truth about the Holy Grail will be not be a secret much longer.

If there does exist a bloodline that extends back many-many thousands of years, it has nothing to do with the story of Jesus or the Holy Grail. Even if this supposed bloodline is using the Christian story as cover; it has nothing to do with the actual clues given to us through the Mysteries as to what and where this Holy Grail and Blood of Jesus is. If the stories existed before the character does (and they have), it would serve us best to take these stories and break them down in search of the meaning behind the metaphor...not as history.

Christians and those seeking the historical Jesus are missing the point of the myth itself. What good does it do YOU if there was a historical Jesus? Nothing until you die, right? But, what good does it do YOU to learn that the blood of Jesus and the Holy Grail can be found in nature (and ingested). What if you knew that this substance would present you with a death and rebirth experience, thus allowing you to practice for your own death? The shaman would prepare for death by consuming plants and/or fungi that evoke a death-like experience; understanding and being ready for death is one of the most important things in life and that is taken away from you if you believe that Jesus was a real person. Thus continuing to eat a cracker and drink grape juice for a holy sacrament while waiting for some great Apocalypse.

Apocalypse - A prophetic disclosure; a revelation.

The Holy Grail is NOT a bloodline. San Greal means “Holy Dish” but if you are writing fiction and you want to have fun with words, and move one letter around to read "Sang real" – well, now you have “Holy Blood.” If you have read my book, you know what I suggest this “Holy Dish” to be:

This Holy Dish is also becomes a golden cup:

I think this book/movie The Da Vinci Code is both good and bad. It is a wonderful story but it is just a story. I worry that people will take a literal approach to this and wait for someone new to worship - anyone who steps forward and claims to be a part of the bloodline, linking directly to a Jesus Christ. I do not see how this can be avoided; I only wonder who it will be.
